A GRADE
Ben Heinrich – Captain
A true Redleg believer returns to the captain’s role for another season.
Ben continues to demonstrate outstanding leadership within our playing group, driving the standards set by our coaches and playing a pivotal role both on and off the field. His commitment, consistency, and passion for the club make him the perfect leader to guide us forward.
Respected by teammates and members alike, Ben leads by example every time he steps onto the field, setting the tone with his work ethic, professionalism, and team-first mindset.
His ability to inspire those around him and bring the group together in key moments is a testament to the character he brings to the role.
As we look ahead to the season, we’re confident that under Ben’s leadership, the group will continue to grow, compete, and represent the club with pride.
Heath McCluskey – Vice Captain
Returning to the FFC for the 2026 season, we’re excited to have Heath continue his role of Vice Captain.
A great one-on-one defender who always leads from the front, Heath consistently sets the standard with his competitiveness, courage, and reliability in the backline. His ability to stand tall in key moments and support his teammates makes him a crucial part of our playing group.
Heath is a strong communicator who ensures there is constant encouragement and direction within the team, helping to drive connection and accountability across the group. His leadership both on and off the field makes him a valuable asset to our leadership group heading into the upcoming season.
We’re looking forward to seeing Heath continue to thrive in this role and to play a key part in driving the team forward in 2026.
Jonathan Ross – Leadership
Returning for season five in the red and blue, we’re thrilled to have our ‘gentle giant’ Jono as part of the Leadership Team, continuing to share his knowledge and experience with the playing group.
A respected figure both on and off the field, Jono leads with calmness, strength, and consistency. His presence around the group provides confidence and stability, while his willingness to support and mentor teammates makes him an invaluable leader.
Jono’s experience in leadership will play a pivotal role in the group’s success this season, and we’re excited to see the impact he continues to have in driving standards and supporting those around him.
Harvey McDonald – Leadership
Harvey is a key driver of the culture we are building at Freeling, setting the tone with his work ethic and commitment.
One of the hardest workers throughout the pre-season, Harvey consistently holds himself to a high standard while pushing those around him to do the same. His dedication and willingness to lead by example have made a strong impact on the playing group.
He continues to show grit and determination in everything he does, proving himself as a deserving member of our Leadership Team. We’re excited to see him keep raising the bar and driving the group forward this season.
RESERVES
Greg Schulz –Captain
Respected across the playing group, Greg sets the standard with his determination, communication, and team-first approach. His ability to lead by example, stay composed under pressure, and bring teammates together will be invaluable throughout the season.
A strong voice on and off the field, Greg will play a crucial role in developing the squad, building cohesion, and creating a positive, competitive environment.
We’re excited to see Greg take the reins and lead the B Grade forward in 2026.
Terry Clancy – Vice Captain
A solid player on the field, Terry is a force to be reckoned with. His strength, determination, and competitiveness make him a constant threat to the opposition.
Stepping up into the vice-captain role, Terry brings leadership, intensity, determination and is always looking for ways to improve. He leads by example, supports his teammates in key moments, and plays a vital role in driving standards across the group.
We’re thrilled to see Terry take on this role and help lead the B Grade in a big 2026.
Craig Schulz – Leadership Team
A reliable and committed player, Craig brings consistency and fight every time he takes the field. His willingness to put the team first and do the hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.
As part of the leadership group, Craig plays an important role in supporting his teammates, setting standards, and helping drive a positive and competitive team culture.
John (JC) Ibrahim – Leadership Team
JC is a well-known face around the club, always willing to lend a hand and help with any task.
A true go-getter with a can-do attitude, JC brings energy, positivity, and commitment to everything he does. His willingness to step up and support those around him reflects the team-first culture we pride ourselves on at Freeling.
On the field, JC’s determination and fight until the very end make him a valuable contributor, never taking a backward step and always giving his all for the team.
Jamieson Leske – Leadership Team
Jamieson continues to emerge as an exciting young leader within our playing group.
With a strong willingness to learn, he sets a great example for those around him. His positive attitude and commitment to improving both himself and the team make him a valuable part of our future.
Jamieson’s growth as a leader is a testament to his character, and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue to develop and make his mark throughout the season.
Bringing a strong connection both on and off the field, this group complement each other perfectly with their experience, leadership, and passion for the club. Their understanding of the game and ability to guide teammates in key moments will be invaluable throughout the season.
SENIOR COLTS
Hamish Warner – Captain
Hamish has stepped up as Captain of the Under 17s; a tough role, but one he’s ready to take on.
Setting standards at training, supporting his teammates, and leading by example every single week are exactly the reasons Hamish has earned this role. His commitment and consistency set the tone for the group and reflect what leadership is all about.
His drive sets the tone for those around him, raising expectations and strengthening the playing group.
We are looking forward to seeing Hamish lead from the front in 2026.
Tali Pipe & Oscar Leske - Vice Captains
Tali & Oscar continue to push themselves, regularly joining senior training to develop their skills and lift standards. Neither are afraid to step outside their comfort zone, testing themselves against more experienced players and embracing the challenges that come with it.
Their willingness to learn, compete, and improve reflects a strong mindset and a genuine commitment to the group’s development.
With different strengths and a shared commitment to the team, Tali and Oscar are ready to support Hamish and help guide this group through the season ahead
Archie Trestrail & Luke Barnes - Leadership Group
Archie & Luke round out the Under 17s leadership group, bringing added skill, composure, and a strong voice on the field.
Both players contribute in different ways, but share a commitment to the team and a willingness to step up in key moments. Their ability to communicate, support teammates, and lead through their actions adds real strength to the group.
Valuable leaders who will help drive standards and keep the team connected across all four quarters.
We ask that the entire club and our members get behind this group; your support will make a real difference. Whether it’s at training, on game day, or around the club, your encouragement helps drive this team forward.

UNDER 15s
Jordy Lively – Captain
Jordy will lead as captain, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the role.
A lively personality in the group, Jordy leads by example with effort, positivity, and a strong team-first attitude. His ability to lift those around him and set the tone at training and on game day makes him a natural leader.
We’re excited to see Jordy guide the Under 15s this season and continue to grow both as a player and a leader.
Ethan Colbourne, Jack Coutts and Lincoln Douglas – Vice Captains
Ethan Colbourne, Jack Coutts, and Lincoln Douglas will take on the roles of Vice Captains for the upcoming season.
Each brings their own strengths to the group, combining leadership, determination, and a strong team-first mindset. Their ability to support their captain, communicate effectively, and lead by example makes them vital to the team’s success.
We’re excited to see Ethan, Jack, and Lincoln step into these roles and help drive the group forward throughout the season.
UNDER 13s
Caleb Colbourne & Caleb Wingfield – Co Captains
The Dynamic Duo – The Calebs have both shown great leadership, commitment, and team spirit, earning the respect of their teammates and coaches.
We’re looking forward to seeing them lead the squad this season and set a competitive standard both on and off the field.
Colton Fletcher, Ryan Norton & Brock Rittner – Vice Captains
Backing up our captains, we’re excited to have Colton, Ryan and Brock help lead the group to success in 2026.
These three have shown fantastic attitude, effort, and leadership, and we’re keen to see them support the team and help drive the team to success.
